The controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

2. Core principle: everything stays on your device

"abgelehnt!" ("dismissed!", the "App") helps you block unwanted calls by blocking individual numbers or whole number ranges. We take privacy seriously:

The App processes all data exclusively on your device. Your numbers, rules and call data are never transmitted to our servers or to any third party. There is no user account, no registration and no cloud.

3. What data is processed?

3.1 Blocking rules and exceptions you create

When you create a rule or exception, the App stores the phone number or number range you enter, plus an optional note, locally.

Purpose: blocking the calls you have chosen.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in fending off unwanted calls).
Retention: until you delete the rule or uninstall the App.

3.2 Incoming call numbers (call filtering)

So the App can decide whether to block a call, the operating system checks an incoming call's number against your rules directly on the device. This check happens only locally. The number of a call that is allowed through (not blocked) is not stored by the App.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3.3 Blocked-call log (statistics)

When a call is blocked, the App stores the blocked number and the time locally so you can view your blocking statistics. This log never leaves the device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3.4 Settings

The App stores your settings locally (e.g. language, light/dark theme, advanced mode).

4. Permissions

For the App to filter calls, you must set it as the call-screening app ("Caller ID & spam") in your Android settings. This role lets the App check the number of incoming calls on the device and silence or reject calls.

The App needs no access to your call log, your contacts, your SMS, your camera or your location, and does not request these permissions.

5. Sharing of data

We do not share your data with third parties, because it never leaves your device.

5.1 Google for the one-time purchase

"abgelehnt!" is a paid app sold as a one-time purchase via Google Play. The purchase and payment are handled directly by Google; we receive no payment data from you. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

6. No tracking, no ads

The App uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and shows no ads.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you retain full control at all times and can delete rules, exceptions and the blocked-call log directly in the App.

8. Purely personal use

If you use the App solely for personal or household purposes, your processing of the numbers you enter falls under the household exemption (Art. 2(2)(c) GDPR).

9. Data security

Data is stored locally using the operating system's encryption mechanisms. No data is transmitted to the cloud.

10. International data transfers

REGURK LIMITED is based in Ireland (EU) and the GDPR applies. Any transfer to third countries occurs only as part of payment processing by Google, on the basis of appropriate safeguards (Art. 46 GDPR).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy. We will inform you of material changes in the App or on this page.
